Week Nineteen: Gallery of Arms TM

Wild Particle’s (Edible) Heraldic Crest

I went for a traditional shield-and-banner style, flanked by lightsabers in both red and green, these two colours being the customary hue of the Dark and Light side of the Force respectively, topped by a three-pointed star. On the shield itself the black kitty symbolises mysterious animal magnetism as well as the unpredictable side of my nature, while the silver ball arrangement represents the more ordered and rational aspect of my personality. The cup is there because I got really thirsty making the heraldic crest and wanted a drink of milk. The reads “Ferus Granoli Infinitum” which translates from the Latin into “Wild Particles Forever”. (Or possibly “Fierce Grains Over and Over Again”, either way I think it works….)

What WP doesn’t mention is that he made his Heraldic Crest out of icing and lollies on a gingerbread base. What is pretty much the best ever.

Xutraa’s (Soon To Be) Embroidered Crest

Fox – One who will use all that she may possess of wisdom and wit in her own defense
Cat – Liberty, vigilance, forecast, and courage
Compass – Direction. It also now symbolises my name!
Crowned shield – honour bestowed to the one who mounted the fortress wall first (bam!)

Ad astra per aspera means ‘through adversity to the stars’ and has been one of my favourite mottos for years
