Birthdays, weddings, Christmas, bar mitzvahs… these are all events which require cake, and are therefore awesome. But there are so few of them in a year.
This week I’m going to celebrate the unnoticed events.
For example:
Presenting someone with a “Happy Biopsy” cake.
Handing someone a novelty sized card proclaiming “Have a Humpin’ Hump Day”.

Impromptu parties are the best parties. Over the past week I:
Celebrated a malevolent rabbit puppet’s birthday (he got a new bow tie)
Blew up (and lost) a heart-shaped balloon in honour of a novelist’s social networking popularity
Ate chocolate until I burst with a very special boy on the day of his birth
